So, what’s the deal with MAY:BE?

Right, let’s get to the point. We are Matt and Katie. Katie let me (Matt) write this website, a decision she is probably regretting already.

We’re originally from Australia—a lovely place full of deadly creatures trying to kill you. To avoid an unfortunate meeting with a shark, snake, or a spider the size of a small dog, we moved to Portugal. It’s great here. Less terrifying wildlife, more pastel de nata.

We also like beer. Actually, we love beer. Or maybe that’s too strong? Appreciate beer. Specifically, we appreciate beers that are unique / a bit different / something special. A few years ago, we started messing around with recipes, and in 2025 we thought, hey, let’s make a few thousand cans and see what happens.

And now… well, here we are. You, us, and this website that may or may not have been a good idea.
